Stop Requested
For this essence of place film, I focused on a place hundreds of people use everyday: the UCSD shuttle. Through the use of musical editing, I was able to evoke the emotion i feel when riding the bus. It goes around and around on a loop, and when you get back to the beginning, it starts all over again.

Hostage
We live in a voyeuristic culture. Why are we obsessed with slowing down and watching a car crash on the side of the road? Why do we watch violent videos on youtube? Sometimes our morbid curiosity gets the best of us and we just can’t stop watching. This video depicts a girl watching a hostage video on Youtube, and the lines of reality are crossed. In this film, I use quick editing and hard rhythmic beats to produce an effect called “the matrix,” which can be defined as a rhythmic switching of places.

My Dreams Have Color
For this short film, I have compiled audio from Benetton magazine’s "COLORS #73" which is a collection of stories about blind people and how they live in a world built for the seeing. Combined with a rainbow of bright colors, these stories are incredibly powerful.

Falling Asleep
The goal of this short film was to evoke a certainfeeling or emotion from the audience. The feeling I chose was unsatisfied anticipation. In today’s world of quick cut MTV editing, audiences expect a lot to happen. When do you start feeling uncomfortable?

Lies We Te Our Children
We all tell little white lies, but none are so amusing as the little lies we tell our children. Little kids ask us question after question, and when you don’t know how to answer, what do you say? “I’ll tell you when you’re older!” All audio and video was taken from a cell phone camera.
